Forcing the limits and the ordinary meaning of things. Thus situations and objects of an absolutely common nature are presented again through a different rearrangement of the their perception. This is how Verter Turroni rejects the classical representational system, deconstructing the balance of form in favour of the precarious harmony of heterogeneous elements. These are placed on walls or on shelves, ledges or pedestals which are suspended or just a few centimetres off the ground in an display that reminds us of the emphasising and sanctifying isolation of the vestiges in archaeological museums. But encountering decorative elements isn’t unusual, symbols of a hypnotic beauty and of vanity, homages laid to crown the formal perfection of the works. And on balance this is perhaps what Verter Turroni speaks about: of an illusion, of a dream to support. Preserving the traces, polishing the relics, making them shine once more. Fighting fiercely against the deteriorating power of time and taking advantage of its fixative and definitional properties. This is how the magic goes on living.
